About Us

Asunción Export was born, back in 1997, as a producer, processor and exporter of fresh fruits and vegetables. Our specialization is Mangetout (Snow Peas) and Sugar Snap Peas. Our farms are spread throughout Guatemalan high lands in order to diversify the environmental risks at altitudes ranging from 1700 to 2400 meters above sea level.
Our packing house “La Asunción” employs more than 300 people at our facilities, located 30 minutes away from Guatemala City International Airport. In our production centers in Guatemalan highlands, more than 1800 producers work the fields daily to deliver high quality and fresh Magetout and Sugar Snaps.
Our strong commitment to a safe and sustainable agriculture had made our fields Global GAP certified since 2002, our packing house BRC certified since 2008, and both, packing house and fields are Global GAP GRASP certified since 2013. Our constant search for continuous improvement has allowed us to remain certified in these standards to date. Our production window goes from early November to early May, when we supply supermarkets in the European Union and UK.
